  1. Add some olive oil to a large pot, then add the onion, garlic and carrots. Stir-fry over medium heat and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the beef, disperse the meat pieces with a spatula and cook.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and tomato paste. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover and simmer for at least 30 minutes to thicken the bolognese sauce. While the bolognese is cooking, boil the water in another pot, add salt, and cook the pasta, which usually takes 8-10 minutes according to the time indicated on the package, until the noodles are cooked.
  4. Remove the cooked noodles and reduce the water, then pour in the cooked meat sauce. Season with ground black pepper.
